Indonesian Bali/Flores Highlands Blend – Mokka/Java Clone
Smooth, chocolaty, and surprisingly versatile. Indonesia's hidden gem.
We prefer this one on the darker side and that's how we roast it.
At our medium-dark roast you get a chocolaty, fuller bodied cup with refined fruitiness — smooth and easy drinking, reminiscent of a Yemen Mokka but with a more brandy-like character. A bit of bolder spice complements the more delicate features with a great mouthfeel. Sweet with just a pinch of fruit in the aftertaste — chocolaty but not overly roasty.
On the lighter end this bean gets wild and fruit forward — winy and brandy-like with lingering dry nutty and earthy tones and a floral aftertaste. Fascinating, but we think the darker roast is where it truly shines.
Close your eyes. You're somewhere between Bali and Flores. A sloth is nearby. Everything is fine.
Take life slow. Coffee faster.
Our Roast
We take this to Medium-Dark | Drop 415–430°F. Shines brightest on the darker end where the chocolate and spice really come together.
